Victims who clicked the link believed they were participating in an official mint. However, it was a cleverly disguised phishing scam. An unofficial mint link being sent out to followers. There is no mint.

Millions in NFTs Stolen

The consequences of this attack are devastating. Hackers have made off with NFTs worth millions of dollars from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection. They also compromised BAYC’s Instagram account and Discord. Initial estimates suggest over $13 million worth of NFTs, including valuable Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, and other related assets, were stolen.

At least 54 BAYC NFTs were confirmed to be among the stolen assets, compounding the financial loss for affected collectors.
