The Cyber Unit of Israel’s police announced its collaboration with the country’s defense ministry, intelligence agencies, and Binance in freezing several accounts used to facilitate these donations.

Israeli authorities have seized the undisclosed amounts off the Binance accounts linked to Hamas. The Lahav 433 unit of the Israel Police’s cyber unit collaborated with the defense ministry, the nation’s intelligence services, and Binance to disrupt Hamas's ability to finance operations through digital assets.

According to reports, Israeli police have seized crypto accounts belonging to Palestinian militant group Hamas in the wake of the group’s recent attacks. Hamas allegedly directed funding it received through these accounts.

The collaborative effort between Binance and Israeli authorities highlights the growing importance of cryptocurrency regulation in preventing the financing of terrorism.
