Henson Orser's Departure and Matthew White's Arrival

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dubai’s Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA), Henson Orser, announced his decision to step down from his position on November 16th. Henson Orser, former president of Nomura’s Japanese crypto project Komainu, had been heading the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) in Dubai. While Orser is leaving the CEO role, he will remain a consultant to VARA after Matthew White takes over as the new CEO of Dubai’s Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority.

VARA’s role is crucial in providing a world-leading regulatory framework to protect investors, maintain high levels of risk assurance and facilitate virtual asset innovation in the emirate of Dubai.
