Lucie Sasnikova of the Shiba Inu team recently revealed that the cross-chain bridge, an integral part of layer 2 scaling protocol Shibarium, is now available for public testing.

Per the Shiba Inu team, the developers behind the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Shiba Inu ($SHIB) have recently rolled out the beta version of the Shibarium bridge, an eagerly awaited test phase that allows the testing of token transfers between Ethereum and the upcoming layer-2 solution.

This critical development allows users to transfer tokens between the soon-to-be launched Shiba Inu-based layer 2 blockchain Shibarium and Ethereum. With the mainnet takeoff of the Shiba Inu L2 network fast approaching, the development team launched the Shibarium beta bridge for public testing on Thursday.
